Halloween

Trad.: Naoseique em Lisboa, 1 de Novembro de 1755

Will you say: "This is result of eternal laws
Directing the acts of a free and good God!"

(...) Did Lisbon, which is no more, have more vices
Than London and Paris immersed in their pleasures?
Lisbon is destroyed, and they dance in Paris!

-- Voltaire, The Lisbon Disaster, em Ingles

RP: "In the sediment around the margins of the Atlantic are large deposits of solid methane known as gas hydrates. As sea temperatures rise, these might start to break down, causing instability and ultimately failure of the surrounding sediment. Similarly, rapid melting of the Greenland ice sheet has the potential to trigger earthquakes as the newly exposed crust 'rebounds' after the weight of the has gone."

2PC: Aquecimento. Global.

Have a nice bank holiday.

4 Coscuvilhices:

  • I was just browsing various blogs as I was doing a search on the word halloween, and I just wanted to say that I really like what you've done with your blog, even though it wasn't particularly related to what I searched for. I appreciate your postings, and your blog is a good example of how a blog should be done. I've only just recently started a Posters website - feel free to visit it when you get a chance if you wish. Much success, antonio.
